THE SHRINERS PIPES AND DRUMS
The Hadi Highlanders

The first Pipe Band at Hadi was started as part of The Patrol in 1914. This band evolved into the present Brass Band. They appeared in the Imperial Council Parade in 1914 in Atlanta. The current Highlanders were started by Jan Lockyear and a group of interested Shriners in December of 1979. They became a band in 1980, Dr. Mark Strandring is the only remaining member from the 1980 Band. The Highlanders sponsor a highly successful Tartan Ball each November. Our Tartan is Black Watch.
